In the year 2015, all the nations of the world agreed to a resolution that would do away with all weapons. Down to every last pistol, to every last tank. NATO, and the EU disbanded. They were no longer needed. World peace was achieved. Was. A year later, a terrorist group, calling themselves the Shuda, smithed their own guns and launched attacks on all nations of the world. This act shook the resolution to its core. Many nations began to pull out. Including world powers such as Canada and North Korea. The only treaties and agreement that would remain in place is the ones made without the intervention of the UN. (The Geneva Convention is mutually agreed to stay in place.)

Some nations have begun to rearm themselves. Either to conquer the world or defend from foreign powers. In doing this, they sparked paranoia out of their neighbors, starting an arms race.

Well, normally I would choose a different country, but right now I'm too lazy to write another whole essay on how it formed so... Copy and paste I choose you!

Name: United People of Antarctica (UPAA)

2015: After the banning of weaponry, the military corporations and weapon building companies no longer had industries to work in. After a meeting of the largest of the companies, to stay prominent in the world, decided to focus their resources on a new task: The Mining of Antarctica's Natural Minerals.

After bribing the United Nations to allow them to mine, all of the companies pitched in, creating factories and facilities all across the ice. All except one major company, the one that now calls themselves the Shuda. However, all of them still helped.

The fall of the militaries around the world also caused another problem: Unemployment Rates Skyrocketed. The UPAA unknowingly made a decision that would change what its people would be like: Offered free jobs to all military personnel (fly them to there free). Many other companies set up shops near factories, and proper houses were built. Towns were created.

Late 2015: The UPAA (At this time just a economic name) was able to make a large amount off of selling the items on the world market, and was able to provide more than enough supplies for its workers. The towns eventually grew into large cities, with more people travelling to the many jobs available in the region. All unemployment rates for all countries went back to normal. Then, the Shuda attacked: When the first countries started rearming themselves, the UPAA saw this as its chance to extend its reach. The people, being military based, wanted to make the people safe, and decided that it was time to make themselves not known as a group of companies, however as a nation. Since most of the countries weren't armed, they really didn't have that much of a choice but to allow it. The government is ran by the current highest ranking general, Captain Narwhal E. Obvious. The UPAA, as a country, was born.

2016 - The Beginning of a New Era
Well, the problem about being so militarily based is that... We don't know how to do anything that's really not military. So, when we tried to build factories, we kinda set them up like our old ones, the ones we used to build military grade weapons. So, we kinda suck at building our own actual construction, however, all of our factories can be converted to whatever we want them to at any given time. When we moved to Antarctica, we needed a way to keep order, and most Military Mercenaries did not know how to operate non-war machine things very well, so they became our police force. A police force that's 75k strong, and militarily trained. So, that's why no one in my country tries to overthrow me, no matter how much other countries persuade them.

Population = 15 million

Capital: Tivoli

Major Cities:

  • Atlantia
  • Cyron

Minor Cities:

  • Narwick
  • Moosecow
  • Khawlony
  • Glaciertown

Bonus: Most Effective Infantry and Military Factories

This is a nation built upon Military Corporations. These corporations did not have the amount of resources to have as much quantity as the military countries, so they made up for it, with quality. Through years of testing, our corporations found the fastest way to make the most effective soldier, while sacrificing little to no time, possibly even speeding it up some. Now we put it into effect.

Due to the fact that I am giving myself an Unbonus that will drastically effect me, I feel that I should give myself 2 military bonuses.

Another bonus of being born out of military companies, we have created machines of war for a long time, and we know the best way to create them, allowing us to build weapons of war faster than any other country. (1 Vehicle Plant, 1 Vehicle Plant 2T Left)

Unbonus: Science and No History

This is a brand new nation. It does not have any connections to other nations. Also, it is specialised in warfare, and mining, not science. All of its research must come from stolen or traded pieces of tech, we personally cannot research anything ourselves.

Exports: Oil, Iron, Coal, Uranium, and Ice/Freshwater

Oh, and we'll 'export' our soldiers to you for rent for 5 turns.

Imports: Fruit/Vegetables, Electronics, Clothes, Coffee, Global Warming, Timber, and Building Materials

Land:
Antarctica

Interesting Facts:
Usually blizzard every month, each lasting several days, average speed is 50mph, some have gone up to 120.

Is considered a desert.

Large waves near Antarctic are known to crack ships.

Whirlwinds can pick up objects weighing hundreds of pounds, whirl them around, then fling them back down.

(This really isn't looking good for me...)

Oh, and it's also cold... Really really cold, so bring your jackets when you invade. Scratch that, bring 2 jackets, actually no, just your whole house to stay warm here.
